Testimonials

I have had the privilege to coach with a lot of coaches - the great Don Johnson, Jeri Edwards, Gordon Vadakin, Ken Yokobosky, Sam Baca, John Jowdy, and Mark Lewis to mention a few.
I can assure you Ron Hatfield belongs to this list of the best coaches I have had the opportunity to work with. Ron is not only one of the top level coaches but also one of the best people I know. He has the ability to design a plan for any player no matter what skill level, from a beginner to a touring professional.

Ron has the patience and the personality and approach to coaching that is second to none.
Do yourself a favor and spend some time with Ron, and I am positive it will be a great experience and you will definitely improve your bowling skills.

Hall of Fame Gold Coach

I have had the great pleasure to call Ron Hatfield my coach now for the last 13 years.  Our journey began on my first year on Jr. Team USA in 2001.  Looking back I can honestly say, I am not sure how he dealt with my adolescent behavior or fiery temper, but if there is one thing I have learned he is a man of tremendous patience.  What makes Ron the best coach in the world is he understands how to speak to each individual player, and give criticism in a way that inspires and empowers his players.

Through my professional years, Ron has helped me accomplish everything I have achieved.  Whether continuously helping my mental game get stronger, or working with me on my physical game, I know I would not be where I am without him.  Between his knowledge of the game, and top level coaching abilities, I strongly recommend him to any player no matter what talent level.

PBA and World Champion

I have had the privilege for the past 3 years to be coached by Ron Hatfield. Before coming to him, I had shoulder, wrist, and lower back pain, as well as multiple flaws in my game creating various inconsistencies. He was able to make several small and subtle changes to alleviate my pain altogether. He was also able to work with my existing form and not change the natural flow of my game in order to get it to where it is now. I have since won 10 team titles and 4 noteworthy individual titles, including the 2013 TNBA Central Rhodman Singles Classic and the 2014 Memorial Day $10k Classic. I wouldn’t trust anyone else with my bowling game!

Honesty and trust are the first two words that come to mind when I hear the name Ron Hatfield.

Those are only two of his many exemplary qualities. I joined the PBA in 1972 and have seen several generations of changes in the sport of bowling. Old school theories and styles just can’t keep up and be competitive anymore.

Over the years, I’ve been fortunate to have bowled with many of the all-time greats and work with some of the most knowledgeable instructors in the game. I believe it’s important for serious bowlers of any age to have good quality instruction. Being self-taught and self-reliant limits a person’s ability to attain their highest performance possible.

Ron has been instrumental in helping me to stay competitive in my 60’s as I compete on the Senior PBA tour.  I always enjoy working with Ron on a regular basis whenever my game needs a tune-up. Ron has a keen eye and is an excellent communicator. We kid each other that I need 5 minutes of his time. That’s about all it takes for him to analyze and correct any deficiencies in my game. Then it’s up to me to practice and work hard on making the improvements.

I highly recommend Ron Hatfield for instruction on the lanes. He’ll be honest with you and you can trust Ron that he will help to take your bowling to the next level.

I have been coached by Ron Hatfield over many years and my experience with a first class coach is that of admiration for Ron.  As a bowler I have learnt so many invaluable things which in turn have made me a better bowler.

The depth of his knowledge and understanding on every aspect of bowling is truly amazing.  It amazes me that he can pick up on the smallest thing that can make such a difference to helping me as a bowler.

I have been coached by Ron during coaching sessions and also during international tournaments.  Helping me to achieve the highest position ever recorded for a Scottish bowler, whilst carrying an injury.

Ron also has an extraordinary ability to work with children and adults of all ages and ensure that he communicates to each individual so they understand clearly.  No matter how young or old, inexperience or advanced bowlers.  I have watched Ron progress with so many bowlers and the impact that he makes on their game is invaluable.

His positivity and enthusiasm for bowling comes across no matter if at the start of the day or at the end of a very long day.

I absolutely love being coached by Ron, unfortunately just not often enough.  I can truly say that there is no better coach.

Ron Hatfield is a very talented coach. First time I saw him was in Kiev 5 years ago when my average was 170 and my bowling technique wasn’t good at all. Now my average is 200. I became a Master of Sport in Ukraine. Now I’m a member of the Ukrainian National Bowling Team. Our team qualified at European Women Bowling Championship in Tilburg in 2012 for World Championship in Las Vegas 2013 when Ron was coaching us. It’s completely his achievement. We couldn’t even imagine that our performance would be so successful. In total points we were 7th. For a team that worried about being in top 15 in Europe, we showed a brilliant game.

I am the second player from Ukraine that has played in the Top 24 at the Qubica AMF World Cup in Krasnoyarsk, Siberia, Russia because Ron gave me a lot as a personal coach. He is a very responsible and organized person. I can say only positive and good things about him. If working together with him and setting goals, when trying hard you will definitely achieve everything you are dreaming about.

He is probably the only coach who knows so much about team work, reading the lanes, mental encouragement of players. If you have an opportunity to work with him, you should take it, because he is the best in the world!

Ron is a coach who not only has loads of experience but can use it according to every student's needs. He sees exactly those aspects that should be changed to make one's game better. And the important thing is that those changes are simple. There is no "high math", no "metaphysics", everything is simple and it is great. Another thing about Ron's trainings is that it is fun and I'm always looking forward to them.

Ron is a coach and a friend who gave me great advice for how to overcome what had been holding me back. I got exactly what I needed to help me move forward and only forward in my game and in my coaching.

I have been fortunate to work with some of the best coaches in the game and Ron Hatfield is as good as any. His world wide experience has made him an expert in every facet of the game. I do not know why someone would not jump at the chance to work with him whenever the opportunity presents itself.

RKH Coaching is what the logo says - Bowling Simplified.  Ron made it so simple for me to improve my game.  A couple of small changes and my game has improved immensely.  Since Ron has been coaching me, my average has gone up 25 pins.  I have also bowled my 1st 300 game and 800 series, with a total of 18 honor scores since I met Ron.

His clinic classroom information was detailed and very interesting.  I learned more about bowling equipment, the mental game, the physical game, and lane play than I could imagine. The part about the mental game was one of my favorite parts.

I would highly recommend Ron Hatfield for all skill levels.  You will not be disappointed.
